Monochromatic card

Hello!

Just popping in to show you a new card I made for the current Lawnscaping Challenge . And this time is a difficult one because it's about making a monochromatic project, something quite challenging for someone like me who LOVES colors:

And here is my blue card:

I made my own striped paper by cutting paper strips out of blue and white cardstock and then adhered them to the card base. For the coloring I used just two copic markers, BG00 and BG02, and the sentiment was stamped using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Finally, I adhered a few blue sequins with glossy accents.

I hope you like it and thanks for visiting my blog!!

Supplies:

- Papers: Bazzil cardstock
- Stamps: Lawn Fawn Admit One
- Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
- Tools: paper trimmer, corner punch
- Others: sequins

Shaker card

Hello everybody!! The current Lawnscaping Challenge  is about using some of our favorite things in our project:

And here is the card I made using a few of my faves: Lawn Fawn Pink Lemonade paper, neon sequins, the 'happy birthday' sentiment from Year One mini set (the first Lawn Fawn set I purchased) and my Uniball white gel pen (an absolute must-have for all crafters, it has so many uses ...)

I must say this is my first shaker card and I'm sure it won't be the last one, they're so much fun!

Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Paper pieced birthday card

Hello!

It's time to share another card I've made for the  Lawnscaping Challenge. This week is about one of my favorites techniques, paper piecing:

I must confess that this time I've had some trouble to get inspired, I really don't  know why because it's a very versatile technique and it works great with many of the stamps I own. But finally I came up with an idea I liked using the cotton candy stamp included in Lawn Fawn's Admit One set:

All the patterned papers are from the Pink Lemonade collection by Lawn Fawn, as well as the hemp cord (an absolute fave of mine!)

I stamped the sentiment from Year One mini set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and, to add some interest to the card base, I created a flower pattern with one of the tiny flowers from Mother's Day mini set and Hero Arts Passion Flower ink, in order to get a tone on tone look.

I hope you like my card, thank you so much for your visit!

Supplies:

- Lawn Fawn stamps: Year One, Mother`s Day, Admit One
- Papers: Lawn Fawn's Pink Lemonade petite pape pack
- Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Hero Arts Passion Flower
- Tools: paper trimmer, corner punch

Bon voyage!

Hola!

I'm back again to show you a quick and simple card I made yesterday using some patterned paper from the Studio Calico Here & There collection.  I just love this paper line, it has bright colors and cool designs that work great for summer themed projects. The plane stamp and the sentiment are from Lawn Fawn's Bon Voyage set. At the bottom of this post you can check the rest of supplies I used in this card.

Hola!

I stamped the plane on white cardstock  with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with my copics. As you can see, I did a very simple coloring, keeping the colors solid, without any shading or blending. I stamped the sentiment with the same black ink.

Before adhering all the elements to the kraft cardstock, I lightly inked the edges of the patterned paper with some walnut stain distress ink using a foam applicator, and I rounded the corners with a corner punch.

Some glossy accents on the plane windows et voilà: card finished.

Thank you very much for visiting my blog, have a great weekend!!

My first post / My first Lawnscaping challenge

Hello everybody!

In my first post I'd like to share with you a card I've made for the current Lawnscaping Challenge, that this week is about adding dimension and layers to our projects.

And here is the card I've made using one of my favorite Lawn Fawn critters set, Critters in the forest. The background clouds are from the Bon Voyage set.

I used some foam adhesive to pop the two critters up and the sentiment below them. Though it's hard to see in the picture, the trees also have a very subtle dimension thanks to the glue dots I used to adhere them.

Here is a close up on the card:
